Two flat parallel pins and a round earth pin. Earthed. Rated 15 A. Used in North and Central America, Japan.

Grounded version of Type A: two flat pins plus a longer round earth pin that connects first. Fits Type B sockets only; a 3-to-2 adapter is needed for Type A sockets.
